Women’s 200 fly
Stanford’s Maya DiRado took home the women’s 200-meter fly at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
DiRado turned in a time of 2:10.52 for the win. That performance moved her up to 17th in the world ahead of Lauren Case’s 2:10.94 from the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.
Gator’s Andreina Pinto placed second overall in 2:11.44 to just miss moving into the top 20, while NBAC’s Becca Mann demonstrated her versatility with a 2:12.01 for third.
BlueFish’s Elizabeth Beisel (2:12.18), NBAC’s Sierra Schmidt (2:13.42), NBAC’s Allison Schmitt (2:13.43), NBAC’s Easop Lee (2:13.95) and Vietnam’s Vien Nguyen (2:14.51) also competed in the finale.
Argentina’s Virginia Bardach took home the B final with a time of 2:13.14. Mexico’s Diana Luna Sanchez, swimming under the FINA banner due to the Mexican Swimming Federation’s suspension, picked up second in the heat in 2:14.45.

Men’s 200 fly
NBAC’s Chase Kalisz snagged his second title of the meet with a win in the men’s 200-meter fly at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Kalisz hit the wall in a time of 1:57.93 to move up to 12th in the world rankings, and the top American as he is now ahead of Tyler Clary’s 1:58.29 from the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.
Gator’s Sebastien Rousseau put up a second-place time of 1:59.34 as the only other sub-2:00 swim of the night. California’s Tom Shields closed out the top three with a time of 2:00.08 after a 1:59.36 in prelims.
Brazil’s Marco Oliveira (2:00.44), Nashville’s Dakota Hodgson (2:00.53), Bobby Bollier (2:01.29), California’s Adam Hinshaw (2:01.46) and Club Wolverine’s Michael Flach (2:01.63) also swam in the finale.
Missouri’s Mack Darragh raced his way to the B final win in 2:00.56. Kaan Ozcan placed second in the consolation heat with a 2:01.42.

SwimMAC’s Madison Kennedy bettered her season best to win the women’s 50-meter free at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Kennedy threw down a 24.71 to break a tie with Abbey Weitzeil (24.72) for fifth in the world rankings.
Stanford’s Simone Manuel raced her way to second with a 24.91, jumping up to 11th in the world rankings with the effort.
Belarus’ Aliaksandra Herasimenia, already fourth in the world with a 24.70, took third in 24.98.
Wisconsin’s Ivy Martin (25.45), Canada’s Victoria Poon (25.72), Brazil’s Graciele Herrmann (25.72), Mexico’s Lili Ibanez (25.98) and Fiat Minas’ Daiane Becker (26.17) also competed in the final.
Colorado Stars’ Missy Franklin and Grand Canyon’s Isabel Ivey tied for the B final win with 25.56s.

Men’s 50 free
California’s Nathan Adrian uncorked a blistering men’s 50-meter fee at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Adrian won the finale in a time of 21.70. That swim jumped him from fourth in the world with a 21.85 to second behind only Florent Manaudou’s 21.57 from the Amiens stop of the FFN Golden Tour.
Florida’s Caeleb Dressel, fresh off his amazing 18.23 in the 50-yard free, took second in 22.06 to move to sixth in the world rankings. Indiana’s Ali Khalafalla grabbed third overall in 22.25 to move into the top 10 in the world.
Brazil’s Italo Duarte (22.28), Italy’s Luca Dotto (22.37), Brazil’s Cesar Cielo (22.47), Tucson Ford’s Brad Tandy (22.54) and Wolfpack’s Caleb Weir (22.55) comprised the rest of the heat.
NYAC’s Josh Schneider won the B final in a time of 22.50. Trojan’s Kenta Ito took second in 22.63.

Women’s 100 back
Colorado Stars’ Missy Franklin turned in a sizzler to win the women’s 100-meter back at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Franklin clocked a winning time of 59.80 to move to fourth in the world this year. Just five swimmers overall have broken 1:00, and this is the first for Franklin this year as her previous season best was a 1:00.03 in Austin.
Oakville’s Dominique Bouchard cranked out a second-place time of 1:00.70, while Brazil’s Etienne Medeiros took third in 1:01.43.
Italy’s Silvia Scalia (1:01.77), California’s Natalie Coughlin (1:01.81), Swim Ontario’s Danielle Hanus (1:02.32), Mexico’s Fernanda Gonzalez Ramirez (1:02.33) and Wolfpack’s Candace Cooper (1:02.53) finished fourth through eighth.
Ontario’s Madison Broad, 15, grabbed the B final win in a time of 1:01.97, while Argentina’s Andrea Berrino finished second in 1:02.09.

California’s Ryan Murphy cranked out a winning time in the men’s 100-meter back at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Murphy threw down a swift time of 53.47, just off his fourth-ranked season best of 53.46 from the Austin stop.
Grigory Tarasevich powered his way to second tonight in 53.84 to vault to sixth in the world rankings.
Tucson Ford’s Matt Grevers, already second in the world with a 53.35 from Austin, took third in 54.20. NBAC’s Michael Phelps, swimming in an off event as part of a difficult double, took fourth in 54.42.
Brazil’s Guilherme Guido (54.59), Jacob Pebley (54.88), NYAC’s Arkady Vyatchanin (54.89) and Wolfpack’s Eugene Godsoe (55.11) placed fifth through eighth.
Israel’s Guy Barnea won the B final in a time of 55.49. Pavel Sankovich of Club Seminole took second in 55.78.

Women’s 200 breast
Russia’s Yuliya Efimova dominated the women’s 200-meter breaststroke at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Efimova unleashed a 2:21.41 in the finale to jump into second in the world. Only Rie Kaneto has been faster with a 2:20.04 from the Aquatic Super Series in Australia.
Saint Petersburg’s Melanie Margalis finished a distant second in 2:25.46 to move into the top 10 in the world. Gator’s Hilda Luthersdottir snared third overall in 2:26.42.
NCAP’s Anna Balousova (2:29.87), Argentina’s Julia Sebastian (2:30.53), PCSC’s Ashley McGregor (2:31.32) and BlueFish’s Elizabeth Beisel (2:34.63) rounded out the finale.
Irish’s Emma Reaney drew a disqualification.
Trojan’s Raminta Dvkariskyte won the B final in 2:31.99. Stina Gardell took second in 2:32.89.

Men’s 200 breast
California’s Josh Prenot cracked 2:10 to win the men’s 200-meter breast at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Prenot put up a time of 2:09.50 for the win, bettering his previous fourth-ranked season best of 2:10.26 from Austin. It was not enough to leapfrog Ippei Watanabe (2:09.40) into third in the world.
Georgia’s Nic Fink took second tonight in 2:11.88, off his sixth-ranked 2:10.51 from Austin. Badger’s Cody Miller, who lost the 100 breast and a 59.94 last night due to disqualification. placed third in 2:12.73.
NBAC’s Chase Kalisz grabbed fourth in 2:14.85 as part of a double that included the 200 fly win.
Gator’s Dan Wallace (2:16.03), Cardinal’s Thomas Dahlia (2:16.76), California’s Sean Mahoney (2:17.04) and Trojan’s Ridge Altman (2:17.76) closed out the top eight.
Missouri’s Sam Tierney won the B final in a time of 2:15.71. West’s Nicholas Zito took second in 2:16.13.

Women’s 400 free
NBAC’s Lotte Friis dominated the women’s 400-meter free at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
Friis won by a wide margin with a 4:09.63 for the win. That swim was well off her eighth-ranked season best of 4:07.18 from the Austin top.
Badger’s Lindsay Vrooman earned second in 4:11.8 with NBAC’s Allison Schmitt taking third in 4:11.25.
Upper Valley’s Hannah Cox (4:11.32), Brazil’s Manuella Lyrio (4:11.33), NBAC’s Cierra Runge (4:12.23), Gator’s Andreina Pinto Perez (4:14.30) and Minnesota’s Kiera Janzen (4:15.40) also competed in the finale.
Triangle’s Ashley Twichell topped the B final in a time of 4:14.55. Chile’s Kristel Kobrich wound up second in 4:14.78.

Men’s 400 free
Trojan’s Conor Dwyer posted the top time in the men’s 400-meter free at the 2016 Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.
To close down night two, Dwyer clocked a 3:49.54 for the win. That moved him into the top 10 in the world in the event.
Badger’s Zane Grothe finished second overall in 3:51.46 with Trojan’s Mads Glaesner taking third in 3:52.44.
Italy’s Mitch D’Arrigo (3:52.47), Club Wolverine’s Connor Jaeger (3:53.81), Plymouth’s Andrew Abruzzo (3:55.18), Gator’s Dan Wallace (3:56.09) and Queens’ Dion Dreesens (3:56.64) finished fourth through eighth.
Club Wolverine’s Michael Klueh claimed the B final in a time of 3:56.10. Caan’s Julio Olvera Alejos finished second in 3:56.26.
