Get Recruited for College Swimming with Personalized Plans

Swimming World has partnered with One Lap Ahead to give swimmers and families a clear, personalized path for college recruiting.

Between NCAA rule changes, evolving roster structures, scholarship limitations, and hundreds of collegiate programs across different divisions, we recognize that many athletes struggle to understand where they realistically fit or how to begin the process in an informed way.

One Lap Ahead gives high school swimmers and families a step-by-step college recruiting plan. From first contact to final commitment, you’ll know exactly what to do, when to do it, and who to reach out to.

After competing at the Division I level and navigating the transfer portal herself in 2023, Peyton Curry saw firsthand how quickly college athletics and recruiting were changing. From NIL opportunities to roster limitations and shifting recruiting strategies, many families were navigating an increasingly complicated system without much guidance.

Today, Curry works with swimmers and families through both group coaching and individualized recruiting plans designed to help athletes better understand the recruiting process and approach it with clarity and confidence.

Unlike large recruiting platforms that rely heavily on automated messaging and generic athlete profiles, One Lap Ahead focuses on individualized guidance tailored to each swimmer’s goals, level, and timeline.

Services and topics include:

  • Understanding NCAA, NAIA, and division differences
  • Evaluating realistic athletic and academic fit
  • Building target school lists
  • Mock coach-interviews and communication preparation
  • Preparing for official and unofficial visits
  • Understanding roster dynamics and scholarship realities
  • Developing recruiting strategies and timelines
  • Exposure opportunities to a network of collegiate coaches across all divisions

In addition to individualized coaching, One Lap Ahead recently launched a 6-week College Swimming Recruiting Cohort, the Recruiting Accelerator, a small-group program designed to help swimmers and divers learn how recruiting works, evaluate schools effectively, and communicate confidently with college coaches.

Curry also regularly shares recruiting education, NCAA updates, and college swimming insights through her social media platforms to help keep families informed as the landscape continues to evolve.
