Baylor’s Trey Freeman broke a National High School record last month in the 200-yard free, and now he’s back competing with some of the country’s best at the TYR Pro Swim Series meet in Atlanta. Friday night, he took fourth in the 200-meter free in 1:49.41.
Freeman spoke after the race about how competing against big-name swimmers has become more normal and how he feels more accustomed to the Pro Swim Series type of meet. He also discussed how he has taken advantage of his experience at the World Junior Championships and how it feels to hold a high school record once held by Tom Shields, Maxime Rooney and Grant Shoults.
