(Video Interviews) Weitzeil, Weir, Vollmer 1-2-3 in 100 Free Prelims

Abbey Weitzeil, Amanda Weir and Dana Vollmer posted the three fastest qualifying time prelims in the women’s 100 free, and afterwards all three stopped to chat with Swimming World.

Weitzeil spoke about what she took away from her prelims swim in the 200 free two days ago and what she is hoping to accomplish in the event. She also explained why it was so difficult to take a year off of school and defer enrollment at Cal in order to train for Trials.

Weir explained why she was so happy with her prelims swim, the fastest she has gone since setting the American record in 2006, and described what she has done differently in training this season.

Vollmer talked about her two days off since qualifying for the Olympic Team in the 100 fly and how her freestyle feels in relation to her fly.
