Cammile Adams did not have the smooth ride out of prelims that she might have expected. After posting what she thought was the top qualifying time for the semifinals, Adams learned she had been DQed, but the decision was overturned just minutes later.

After having some time to reflect on the race, Adams spoke to the media and explained the process of appealing and reviewing video evidence and moving forward. She also had a chance to discuss her meet so far and explain why she was happy with the morning time and also the stroke changes she has recently made.
