Vini Lanza took second in the men’s 100 fly in a time of 45.56. The Indiana sophomore finished behind Tom Shields, who set a new American and U.S. Open record.
The Hoosier notched his NCAA A cut in the event while setting a new school record. Lanza also won the men’s 200 IM last night in 1:43.57.
Lanza discussed how hard Indiana has been working this season and the energy the team brings. He also said how inspiring it is to train among Olympians.
