Swimming World Splashback One Year Ago Today: Last Group of USA Swimmers Named to 2016 Olympic Team

One year ago today, the 2016 Olympic Team was named for USA Swimming. On the final day of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, Connor Jaeger and Jordan Wilimovsky were added to the team after stellar performances in the 1500 freestyle.

Between veterans like Michael Phelps and Elizabeth Beisel and up-and-coming Olympic rookies Maya Dirado and Simone Manuel, team USA set themselves up for a successful trip to Rio.

The American 2016 Olympic Team was ready to take on the world.
