STAMFORD, Connecticut, July 8. NATALIE Coughlin, who qualified for her third Olympic appearance as a potential part of Team USA's 400 free relay at the 2012 London Games, has filmed an ESPN “This is Sportscenter television ad.
The ad features the Notre Dame leprechaun rifling through Coughlin's fictional desk on the ESPN campus. He then attempts to steal one of her three Olympic gold medals, before Coughlin, dressed in full competition gear, shows up to confront him. Coughlin, 29, has a total of 11 medals during her career. With one more potential medal by way of the relay, she will tie Jenny Thompson and Dara Torres as the most laureled American female Olympian.
