Men’s Psych Sheets for Rio Olympics Released

With the swimming events at the Rio Olympics set to begin Saturday at 1 p.m. local time, FINA has released the psych sheets.
On the men’s side, the most notable name is Michael Phelps, competing in his fifth Olympic Games with 22 Olympic medals, 18 of them gold, already on his résumé. Phelps is seeded first in the 100 fly and 200 IM in Rio, and he enters ranked second in the 200 fly behind longtime rival Laszlo Cseh.
Sun Yang is expected to defend his Olympic titles in the 400 and 1500 free, and other defending gold medalists entered include Cameron van der Burgh (100 breast), Chad le Clos (200 fly) Daniel Gyurta (200 breast), Yannick Agnel (200 free) and Florent Manaudou (50 free).
Ryan Lochte is only entered in one individual event (200 IM), his smallest racing program since his first Olympics in 2004. He will not defend his gold medal from London in the 400 IM.
