Louisiana State Champion Kendall Jollands Verbals to Arizona for 2027
NEW COMMIT: The University of Arizona has added to its 2028 recruiting class, having recently received a verbal commitment from Kendall Jollands of Metairie, La. Jollands is a Junior National qualifier who excels in butterfly and freestyle.
She will join Alexandra Sartie Barrutia and Dylon Flikkema in Tucson as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2031.
Regarding her commitment, she said:

Jollands trains year-round with Crescent City Swim Club and most recently placed 28th in the 200m free at Junior Nationals after winning the 200m fly and 200m IM at Louisiana Long Course Seniors. She had five top-3 finishes at Louisiana Short Course Seniors in February before going on to take second in the 200 fly and fourth in the 100 fly at Justin Speedo Sectionals in March.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 54.16
- 200 fly – 1:59.51
- 200 free – 1:52.49
Currently a senior at Saint Mary’s Dominican High School, Jollands won the 200 free and took second in the 100 fly at the 2025 Louisiana DI State Championships, helping her 4×100 free relay win and her 4×50 medley relay take second. She is a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
The Wildcats finished second at the 2026 Big 12 Conference Championships. Jollands’ best time is already fast enough to have made the A-final in the 200 fly and the B-final in the 100 fly at last season’s conference meet.
