2016 Olympian Jack Conger announced he was signing with TYR via his Instagram page. Conger exhausted his eligibility from the University of Texas in March 2017 and has been on every USA National Team trip since making the Olympics in 2016. Conger is joining a stacked TYR team that includes Olympic gold medalists Simone ManuelKatie LedeckyRyan LochteMatt Grevers and Leah Smith.

Conger is a 2016 Olympian where he swam on the 4×200 free relay team in the preliminaries that went on to win the gold medal at finals.

Conger also made the last two major international teams for USA Swimming. He was the 2017 Phillips 66 National Champion in the 200 fly and went on to finish fifth in the 200 fly final in Budapest at the World Championships later that summer. Conger also swam the third leg on the bronze medal winning 4×200 free relay team at those World Championships.

Conger placed seventh at the Pan Pacs earlier this summer in the 200 fly and was the silver medalist in the 100 fly behind Caeleb Dressel at those Championships in Japan. Conger will swim the 100 fly at the 2019 World Championships for Team USA next summer in South Korea.

Jack Conger was a part of three National title teams at the University of Texas, including nine NCAA relay titles in his four years in Austin. Conger won one individual title in the 200 fly his senior year. He swam on the 400 medley relay team that still holds the NCAA record and the fastest time in history to this day.

Conger is also yet another US swimmer to sign with a major suit company. Ledecky, Manuel, Dressel and Kathleen Baker all announced pro careers just this summer.

Conger and fellow 2016 Olympian Chase Kalisz were two of the last big names remaining unsigned. But Conger changed that on Wednesday. Kalisz, Blake PieroniZane GrotheJay LitherlandJordan Wilimovsky and Andrew Wilson are the last members of the World Championship team on the men’s side who have yet to sign a suit deal, that are eligible.
