Bet former Venice High ( CA.) and Stanford ” All American” Andi Murez will be first !A City swimmer to ever compete in ThevBig O’s.
Former NCAA champ ” Qristine Kuance” swam @. Granada Hills Hugh before going to USC but I am not sure if she was an Olympian or not.
Granada Hills High incidentally is same school that produced a certain quarterback who later attended Stanford, opted NOT to sign w/ the Yankees and went to NFL instead and had a pretty good career — if you count two Super Bowl rings as “pretty good.”
Now what was his name again?
Hint: he was once married to a pretty good swimmer!
I’m fairly certain Christine Quance won a gold medal in the ’96 Atlanta Olympic Games swimming the breaststroke leg in the 400 Medley relay prelims.
I also believe the quarterback mentioned wore #7 for Stanford and the Broncos, and Granada Hills HS may have named their stadium after him.
