Golden Goggle Awards Announced in Denver: Who Were the Winners?

The 2025 Golden Goggle Awards took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, in Denver. The USA Swimming award celebration is in its 22nd year.

This year’s ballot features five awards: Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Open Water Athlete of the Year, and Relay Performance of the Year.

Proceeds from the Golden Goggle Awards benefit the USA Swimming Foundation, whose mission is to Save Lives, Build Champions, and Impact Communities. In addition to providing learn-to-swim grants and community impact grants to programs across the country, the USA Swimming Foundation supports the U.S. National Team and its development efforts aimed at strengthening the future of USA Swimming’s programs and services.

Female Athlete of the Year

• Katie Ledecky (winner for 10th time … world champion in 800 free, 1500 free)

Male Athlete of the Year

Coach of the Year

Golden Goggle OW Athlete

• Ivan Puskovitch (winner)

Relay of the Year

• Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay
• Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay (Kate Douglass, Regan Smith, Gretchen Walsh, Torri Huske with Katharine Berkoff, Lilly King, Claire Curzan and Simone Manuel in prelims)

The Foundation Impact Award went to David and Maya Shackley.

The Alumni of the Year Award went to Elizabeth Beisel.
