Futures Qualifier Kyla Kelly of Crow Canyon Country Club Sharks Selects Bucknell for 2022-23
NEW COMMIT: Futures qualifier Kyla Kelly of Danville, Calif. will had to the east coast for her college career after verbally committing to Bucknell University for the fall of 2022.
She will join Emma Feld, Claire Kehley and Megan Leyden as a member of the Bison’s Class of 2026.
She told Swimming World:

A versatile swimmer, Kelly trains with Crow Canyon Country Club Sharks and finaled in three events at the TYR 18&U Cup in Irvine back in April. She also finished eighth in the 200 back at St. George Sectionals and picked up a best time at the 18&U Winter Championships – PC CROW where she won the 200 back.
Her best times include:
- 200 IM – 2:04.25
- 400 IM – 4:25.91
- 100 back – 56.95
- 200 back – 2:01.26
- 500 free – 5:03.23
Also competing for Monte Vista High School, Kelly raced the 100 back and 200 IM at the CIF State Championships during her freshman season. She finished 10th and seventh, respectively, in those events at the CIF North Coast Section meet as well.
Kelly will make an immediate impact when she arrives in Lewisburg in the fall of 2022. She would’ve scored in the A-final of the 400 IM as well as the B-final of the 200 IM and 200 back 2020 Patriot League Championships.
