NEW COMMIT: Denver, Colorado’s Izzi Mroz announced her verbal commitment to dive for Virginia Tech. Mroz dives for Mile High Dive Club with Coach Jennifer Hess.

A senior at Valor Christian High School, she is Colorado’s 4A defending one meter diving champion. At the 2017 USA Diving Nationals Morz was a 16-18 3 meter quarterfinalist.  At the 2017 Synchronized Championships she was a quarterfinalist in 3meter and on platform.

She told Swimming World,

“I chose VT because of the opportunities it has to offer me not only in my sport but also academically, as well as the feel of a small school while being a good size”

Mroz joins diver Brooke Leftwich in the Hokies Class of 2022. Swimmers Anna Landon, Jennifer HauserLauren MeekerRachael HolpNatalia Fryckowska, Abby Larson, Alex SlaytonJulia Bruneau and Loulou Vos are also set to join the Hokies next fall.
