ZHENGZHOU, China, June 27. ACCORDING to several media reports out of China, Zhou Yafei joined the 57-second club in the women's 100 fly with a time of 57.95 at the Chinese National Youth Championships held in Zhengzhou this weekend.
That performance broke her own Asian record of 58.20 set at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne.
Zhou is coming back from several back injuries and looks to be back on track heading into the 2008 Beijing Games.
"I did not expect to break the Asian record!" Zhou told the Xinhua News Agency.
