YMCA National Champion Molly Yacoviello Selects Wisconsin

NEW COMMIT: The University of Wisconsin has received a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Molly Yacoviello of York, Pennsylvania.

She will join Arianna Zelen and Sarah Larsen as a member of the Badgers’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to continue my athletic and academic career! I want to thank my friends, family, and coaches for supporting me through this process. I’m so grateful to the coaching staff of @badgerswimdive for giving me this incredible opportunity. GO BADGERS!”

Yacoviello does her club swimming with York and York County YMCA. She swept the 100/200 breast at YMCA Nationals last month, also taking fourth in the 200 IM and eighth in the 400 IM. She finished fourth in the 200 breast at Juniors East back in December.

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:01.81
  • 200 breast – 2:10.87
  • 200 IM – 2:01.21
  • 400 IM – 4:15.79

Finishing up her junior year at Veritas Academy, Yacoviello has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.

Her best time in the 200 breast is already fast enough to score in the A-final at the Big Ten Championships. The Badgers finished fourth at the 2024 Big Ten Championships, then went on to place 15th at the NCAA Championships.
