Distance Ace Sarah Larsen Selects Wisconsin For 2025-26 Season

NEW COMMIT: The University of Wisconsin has picked up its first verbal commitment for Fall 2025 from Sarah Larsen of Malverne, New York.

Larsen is a three-time Open Water National Junior qualifier and a 2023 National Select Camp participant.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Wisconsin – Madison!!  I’d like to thank my family, friends and coaches fo supporting me throughout this entire process! I’d also like to thank @badgerswimdive for this amazing opportunity!! I can’t wait to be a Badger!!”
A Junior National qualifier in the pool, Larsen does her club swimming with Long Island Aquatic Club. She placed 20th in both the 400m and 800m free, as well as 22nd in the 1500m free and 24th in the 1500m free, at Junior Nationals this past summer.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:51.33
  • 500 free – 4:50.76
  • 1000 free – 9:59.86
  • 1650 free – 16:46.74
  • 400 IM – 4:23.24

Currently a junior at Sacred Heart Academy, Larsen finished second in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free at the 2022 New York Federation Championships. She took seventh and 11th, respectively, in those events during her freshman season.

She is also a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and has earned All-American honors in the 4×50 free relay and 500 free.
