USMS Masters Records Fall at SPMA Regional Championship

MISSION VIEJO, California, April 14. SEVEN USMS national records fell during the SPMA Regional Championship held April 11-13 in Mission Viejo.

Jurgen Schmidt, 85, set four records in the 85-89 division. He shot down the 1650 free (28:36.66), 400 IM (8:36.18), 500 free (8:24.66) and 1000 free (17:16.01) as part of his 1650 free swim.

Matthew Marshall, 25, took down a trio of standards in the 25-29 age division. He set the 50 fly (22.03), 100 fly (48.36) and 50 back (23.03).
