USC Scores 2027 Verbal Pledge From Winter Juniors Champ Lexi Byrn
NEW COMMIT: The University of Southern California has scored a verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from Lexi Byrn out of Boulder, Colo. Byrn specializes in butterfly and won the 200 fly at Juniors West last month.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“After careful consideration I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Southern California! Thank you to all my family, friends, coaches Wolfgang, Tricia, Jackson and my uncle Andy for helping me get here. A big thank you to Coach Meghan, Coach Lea, and the entire coaching staff at USC for giving me such an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to become a Trojan! FIGHT ON! ✌️❤️💛”
Byrn trains year-round with Flatiron Athletic Club. Last summer, she won the 100m fly, 200m fly 50m back and 400m free at Colorado Long Course Senior Championships before going on to place 11th in the 200m fly at Junior National Championships.
Her best times include:
- 200 fly – 1:55.65
- 100 fly – 53.79
- 50 fly – 25.31
- 50 free – 24.15
- 100 free – 53.06
Currently a junior at Fairview High School, Byrn collected bronze in the 100 fly at the Colorado 5A State Championships in 2025 as a sophomore. She took sixth in that event at the state meet as a freshman in 2024.
Byrn’s best time in the 200 fly would’ve scored in the A Final at the 2025 Big Ten Championships. USC placed fifth at the conference meet last season.
