USA Swimming Sectionals, Shenandoah: Another Night In The Books
SHENANDOAH, Texas, July 29. NIGHT two of the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Shenandoah is in the books.
Alamo Area's Anna Mayfield won the women's 200 free in 2:05.63, touching out Houston Cougar Kimberley Eeson, who placed second in 2:05.69. Aggie's Kristina Kontrimas finished third in 2:06.83.
Longhorn's Kyle McNeilis claimed the men's 200 free title in 1:54.02, while Fort Worth's Benjamin Barrett took second in 1:55.09. City of Plano's Cole Brewer, 15, finished third overall in 1:55.28.
Blast's Kara Kopcso, 14, topped the women's 400 IM in 4:54.87, while Speed City's Sarah Peterson touched second in 4:56.56. Premier's Chelsie Miller picked up third in 4:57.37.
Houston Cougar Mark Grijalva won the men's 400 IM in 4:37.31. Premier's Ryan Massey, 15, turned in a second-place 4:38.71, while Nitro's Joshua Anderson took third in 4:40.52.
In relay action, Fort Worth's Alexandra Lakota, Kristalyn McAfee, Kristi Dena and Julia Anderson won the women's 800 free relay in 8:27.68. Cypress Fairbank's Charles Moore, Shea Kenny, Albert Rilery and Ross Johnson took the men's 800 free relay title in 7:52.54.
