USA Swimming Sectionals, Oklahoma City: Evan Noble Sets Meet Record
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, March 7. CSP Tiderider Evan Noble set a meet record in the 200-yard IM as part of a title double dip at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Oklahoma City.
Kansas City Blazer Shannon Vreeland began the night with a winning time of 2:00.91 in the women's 200-yard IM. Noble followed in the men's 200-yard IM with a winning time of 1:49.85 to set the meet record.
Rockwood's Amber Green touched out Parkway's Taylor Wohrley, 23.51 to 23.72, in the women's 50-yard free, while Noble also earned a touch out win over AquaHawgs' Ellis Miller, 20.80 to 20.91, in the men's 50-yard free.
Aquahawk Emma Reaney snatched the women's 200-yard breast title in 2:16.64, while AquaHawgs' Michael Haefner grabbed the men's 200-yard breast crown in 2:02.96.
Wohrley rebounded from her 50-yard free second-place finish with a winning time of 54.51 in the women's 100-yard back. Miller also turned his touch-out loss in the 50 with a 49.81 for the men's 100-yard back victory.
Vreeland claimed a second gold with a time of 4:50.55 in the women's 500-yard free, while the Kansas City Blazer foursome of Seth Musser, Griffin Peavey, Vito Cammisano and Hunter Stevenson won the men's 400-yard medley relay in 3:37.45.
The men's 500-yard free and women's 400-yard medley relay were not made available.
