USA Swimming Sectionals, Long Beach: Longer Distance Swim Highlight Night Three
LONG BEACH, California, December 20. THE third evening of short course yard swimming at the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Long Beach, Calif., featured longer distance events.
Presley Bard opened the night with a win in the women's 200 free. She clocked a 1:45.91 for the win. Lyndsay DePaul (1:46.72) and Catherine Breed (1:47.24) completed the top three. Patrick White snagged the men's 200 free title in 1:36.72. Tom Kremer placed second in 1:38.23 with Vlad Morozov taking third in 1:38.33.
Jasmine Tosky touched first in the women's 400 IM with a 4:11.47. Taylor Nanfria finished second in 4:16.72, while Jessie Schmitt earned third in 4:18.05. Hidemasa Sano cruised in the men's 400 IM with a winning time of 3:44.53. James Martin took second in 3:49.23, while Alex Lendrum finished third in 3:51.34.
The 800 free relays completed the evening. Pleasanton's Karen Wang, Allison Brown, Sasha Alcon and Breed won the women's race in 7:23.34. Palo Alto's Young Tae Seo, Ian Mirisola, Titiyut Nuntapramote and David Jakl captured the men's event in 6:48.39.
