COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, May 10. USA Swimming has announced that it will be creating a second 2011 long course national meet by changing the 2011 Short Course National Championships into a long course meter event.
USA Swimming has stated that it wants to give swimmers an additional opportunity to achieve Olympic Trials cuts.
Additionally, USA Swimming has decided to change the Minneapolis Grand Prix scheduled for November 2011 into a long course meter competition for the same reason.
