DALLAS, Texas, September 17. THIS weekend, the USA Swimming House of Delegates will receive a variety of proposals from USA Swimming to vote up or down, but the most well-known topic up for a series of votes relates to Athlete Protection Policies.
Recently, outgoing USA Swimming President and now interim National Team Leader Jim Wood sent out a packet to all delegates explaining specifically what legislative items USA Swimming has proposed to help the organization further protect athlete-members.
The proposals are broken down into five primary areas: Education, Athlete Protection Policies, Background Screening, Pre-Employment Screening and Reporting.
