Taylor Pike has committed to Texas A&M. Pike is a USA Swimming National Team Member. Other highlights of her swimming resume include being a two time member of the USA Swimming National Junior team and a two time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

Pike, who swims for Razorback Aquatics, was a semifinalist in the 200 butterfly at Olympic Trials this summer. This summer she also represented the stars and stripes at the FINA Open Water World Junior Championships.

Pike swims for Bentonville High School where she is a captain this year. Through three years, Pike is undefeated in her individual Arkansas high school state career. She also holds state records in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle.

She told Swimming World,

“I chose Texas A&M for many reasons. Steve, Tanica, and the Aggie girls have created a strong, consistent, world class swimming legacy! The girls are so connected that they’re like a true family. Aggies are the most passionate, classy, and friendliest people that I have ever met. I can’t wait to be part of the Aggie family! Gig ‘Em!!”

Pike’s best times:

50/100/200 Butterfly: 24.42/ 53.54/ 1:55.57

1000/1650 Freestyle: 9:59.83/ 16:41.77

The Aggies were the 2016 SEC Champions. Pike could have been fifth in the 200 fly at last year’s meet. Aggie junior Sarah Gibson was runner up in the event. She will have graduated by the time Pike gets to College Station. Pike would be a 100 butterfly B finalist. In the 1650, she would sneak into scoring range.

Pike joins Haley Yelle in the Class of 2021.
