United States Dispatches Mexico at World Junior Water Polo Championships

DEL MAR PLATA, Argentina, October 7. ONE night after tying Greece at the World Junior Water Polo Championships, the United States claimed a 12-6 victory over Mexico on Friday morning. The U.S. held the lead from the start and benefited from an 11-save performance by goalie Chay Lapin. J.W. Krumpholz, who had a hat trick against Greece, torched Mexico for a quartet of goals.
The United States built a 7-3 advantage by the end of the second quarter and will have an off day on Saturday before facing Slovakia in a Sunday matchup. The U.S. is scheduled to play New Zealand on Monday.
