Unfiltered Waters Podcast Welcomes Beach Volleyball Legend Kerri Walsh Jennings
The latest episode of the Unfiltered Waters, hosted by Olympians Missy Franklin and Katie Hoff, demonstrates why the podcast has been a success, and brings a terrific perspective. On the heels of interviews with swim stars Summer McIntosh and Simone Manuel, among others, this week’s installment features an interview with beach volleyball legend Kerri Walsh Jennings.

Unfiltered Waters
When Franklin and Hoff set forth on their journey to develop Unfiltered Waters, they wanted to produce a podcast that not only featured elite athletes within the sport of swimming, but also highlighted greats from other walks of sports. Walsh Jennings clearly fits that mold, as she is a four-time Olympic medalist in beach volleyball, including gold medals in 2004, 2008 and 2012.
In the interview with Franklin and Hoff, Walsh Jennings goes into detail about her volleyball career, including the high-level success she enjoyed with longtime partner Misty May Treanor. The interview, though, goes beyond the topic of athletes, which is a hallmark of Unfiltered Waters. Among the topics visited with Walsh Jennings are balancing a sports career with motherhood and working through personal struggles.
The interview with Walsh Jennings is nearly 90 minutes in length and marks the second time in which Unfiltered Waters has interviewed an athlete from outside of swimming. The first was an interview with track star Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.
Unfiltered Waters is available on numerous podcast-carrying platforms, including Apple, Spotify and YouTube.
