PASADENA, California, February 7. A pair of United States Masters Swimming short course yard national records fell this weekend at the Rose Bowl Masters SCY Distance Meet by Rose Bowl Masters representatives.
Dawn Heckman, 31, downed the women's 30-34 1000 free national mark with a time of 10:11.38. Lisa Hazen set the previous standard with a 10:16.36 back in 1999.
Robert Strand, 65, also took down a Masters national record in the men's 65-69 200 breast event. He clocked a time of 2:31.85 for the win, crushing the previous record of 2:35.32 set by Kenneth Frost last year.
