MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., November 23. TRINA Radke, a 1988 US Olympian who returned to competition as a Masters swimmer only two years ago, blasted two world Masters records at a short course meters meet in Mountain View, California, on October 24.
Swimming in the women's 30-34 age group, Radke posted times of 25.98 in the 50-meter freestyle and 28.05 in the 50-m butterfly.
Radke's freestyle time broke the previous global standard of 26.46, set by Anna Pettis-Scott back in 1993. Her fly time erased Wenke Hansen's 2000 record of 28.34.
Radke also won two other events in fast times: 31.10 for the 50-m backstroke and 1:05.96 for the 100-m individual medley.
