Toledo Adds Two More Signees
TOLEDO, Ohio, November 28. THE Toledo swimming and diving team welcomes two more recruits. Megan Friedli of Granger, Ind., and Nikki Schnell- McCoy of Oregon, Ohio will join the Rockets in the 2007-08 season.
Friedli attends Penn High School and has been a three year Most Valuable Player, state qualifier and sectional winner. She currently holds the school record as part of the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay teams and is ranked in the top 16 in the state for the 100 freestyle.
"Megan is not only a great swimmer but she is also a great student," said head Coach Lars Jorgensen. "She is really going to help our program next year."
Schnell-McCoy attends Notre Dame Academy where she has been the team's Most Valuable Player, named to the All-District and has been a state qualifier for three years. Her sophomore and freshman years she was named to the all-state team.
"It's always nice to have someone that is local on the team," said Jorgensen. "Nikki is an outstanding addition to the team and we are looking forward to working with her."
Friedli and Schnell-McCoy join five other recruits who have signed with the Rockets earlier this month.
