NEW COMMIT: The University of Louisville has earned a verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from Monroeville, Penn. native and current high school junior Olivia Livingston.

She’ll also join Liberty Williams, Adeline FarringtonPaige McCormickGabi Albiero and Tristan Ulett as members of the Cardinals’ Class of 2024.

Primarily a sprint freestyler, Livingston does her club swimming with JCC Sailfish and owns a pair of U.S. Open standards. She most recently competed at Speedo Sectionals where she earned bronze in the 50/100 free combo after racing four events at Winter Nationals. This past summer, she recorded three best times at Junior Nationals and won the 100 free at 2018 Akron Speedo Sectionals.

Also competing for Gateway Senior High School, the NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American is a six-time Pennsylvania 3A State Championship finalist. Livingston won the 50 free and placed fourth in the 100 free as a junior after finishing first and second, rspectively, in those events during both her freshman and sophomore seasons.

She told Swimming World:

“I am more than excited to announce my verbal commitment to study and swim at the University of Louisville! I am very thankful to God, my family, coaches, teammates, and friends for all their love and support throughout this process. I am truly honored and cannot wait to be a part of the amazing Louisville family. Go Cards!!!”

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 22.71
  • 100 free – 49.47
  • 200 free – 1:49.59
  • 100 back – 55.90

Livingston will add valuable sprint depth to the Cardinals’ roster when she suits up in the fall of 2020. She would’ve scored in the C-final of the the 50 free and 100 free at the 2019 ACC Championships where Louisville finished third overall in the team standings.
