Each Wednesday, Swimming World Magazine senior writer John Lohn discusses the contenders for every Olympic event in the weeks leading up to the Beijing Olympics. This week, he throws American Katie Hoff, Frenchwoman Laure Manaudou and Italian Federica Pellegrini into the ring for the gold medal in the women's 200-meter freestyle, saying the race's contenders have made the event hotter in the years since the Athens Olympics.
"For the Record" features a tour of the International Swimming Hall of Fame by Bob Duenkel, who shows viewers some of the interesting sculptures in the facility, especially those designed by Joe Brown. One particularly fascinating design includes the bust of Poseidon created for the AAU Swimming Award.
