After guiding viewers through Swimming World's online meet results pages, host Brent Rutemiller talks to three-time Olympian Susan (Rapp) von der Lippe, who qualified to swim in two events at the 2008 Olympic Trials at the USA Swimming sectionals meet in Federal Way, Wash., last weekend.
Von der Lippe, a 42-year-old mother of two, talks about the impetus to make a Trials cut in at least one event, which she did in 2005. She then talks about how she kept up her training and went for another cut last weekend. She also mentions how her family is supporting her quest to swim in another Olympic Trials.
In the Technique and Tips section, J.R. Rosania talks about the various ways a physioball can help strengthen muscles in the shoulders, back, buttocks and stomach.
