The Morning Swim Show: Recap of Day One at European Championships; Paul Biedermann Talks About 200 Free World Record and Training to Swim Fast
PHOENIX, Arizona, December 12. THE European championships are the focus of today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.
Host Peter Busch showcases some of the fast swims from the first day of the European short course championships in Croatia, in which France's Amaury Leveaux broke the world record in the 50 freestyle and Paul Biedermann of Germany won the 400 free. Marleen Veldhuis also set a European record in the 100 freestyle.
In an interview conducted before the European championships, Biedermann talks with Busch about his life since breaking Ian Thorpe's world record in the 200 free, saying "I had a really good day … and felt really good in the water." He also details why he enjoys the 200 free and 400 free, why the world is getting faster and what he does in the pool to improve his times.
