Host Peter Busch starts the show by clarifying news regarding the Grant Hackett disqualification at the FINA Open Water World Championships, with information from Brent Rutemiller.
In Reaction Time, Swimming World Magazine senior writer John Lohn analyzes the race for Olympic gold in the men's 400 free. With reigning Olympic champion Ian Thorpe retired, Lohn picks Hackett as the top contender for the win, with three or four Americans in the hunt for a medal, in addition to Korean Tae-Hwan Park.
The For the Record segment features an interview with International Swimming Hall of Fame CEO Bruce Wigo, who talks about the events taking place at ISHOF this weekend, from the FINA Diving World Cup to a memorial for former ISHOF executive director Buck Dawson.
