INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, August 11. THIS past week, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Board of Directors decided not to override the text messaging band the group approved in April.
Therefore, the new rule banning all text messaging from use during collegiate recruiting in the United States will remain in effect.
The next possibility of the ruling being changed will be when the NCAA's member-institutions vote on the ban again next January.
