Texas Senior Circuit: Andie Taylor Doubles
COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 19. THE second night of long course meter action at the Texas Senior Circuit meet in College Station featured a double by KING's Andie Taylor.
Taylor cruised in the women's 200 free with a time of 2:02.12 Ana Santos posted a second-place time of 2:05.29, while Hee-Jin Chang picked up third in 2:05.54. Taylor doubled up with a 4:48.91 in the women's 400 IM. Melanie Dodds took second in 4:59.25, while Trisha Averill earned third in 5:00.56.
Carol Kuczynski touched out Denisa Smolenova, 1:01.11 to 1:01.43, in the women's 100 fly. Angela San Juan Cisneros wound up third overall in 1:02.05. Andrew Wang topped the men's 100 fly in 56.07, while Karson Applin took second in 56.34. Madison Gidson claimed third in 56.59.
Melissa Cooper edged Alia Atkinson, 1:12.52 to 1:12.57, in the women's 100 breast for the win. Averill grabbed third with a time of 1:14.25 for her second podium of the night. Matthew Lowe snatched the men's 100 breast in 1:02.93, while Eric Friedland touched second in 1:03.95. Nick D'Innocenzo earned third in 1:05.31.
Michael Klueh dominated the men's 200 free in 1:51.35. Daxon Hill touched a distant second in 1:56.38, while Omar Enriquez snared third in 1:57.05. D'Innocenzo won the men's 400 IM with a time of 4:29.58 for his second podium. Jordan Jones finished second in 4:32.20, while Enriquez placed third in 4:32.24.
Petra Klosova captured the women's 50 back in 30.23, while Therese Svendsen took second in 30.31. Jess Guro posted a third-place time of 30.63. John Ariens beat Cooper Robinson by the slimmest of margins with a 28.35 to 28.36 triumph in the men's 50 back. Aki McFarlane touched in 28.83 for third place.
