Texas Longhorns Hook Two Class of 2025 Verbals from Ava Collinge, Jordan Morgan

NEW COMMITS: The University of Texas has landed a pair of verbal commitments for their growing class of 2025 from Ava Collinge and Jordan Morgan.

Both swimmers will arrive in Austin at the start of the 2021-22 season along with Morgan Brophy,  Ellie Andrews and Olivia McMurray.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am SO incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Texas! I want to thank my amazing family for their unconditional love and support, and all of my teammates whom I am so blessed to have pushed me both inside and outside the pool. Can’t wait to be a longhorn! #HOOKEM”

Her best times include:

  • 50 fly – 25.15
  • 100 fly – 53.74
  • 200 fly – 1:59.81
  • 200 IM – 2:01.32

Primarily a butterflyer and IMer, the Everett, Wash. native does her club swimming with West Coast Aquatics and has achieved three Junior National cuts. She recently raced three events at the Toyota Open before going on to place seventh in the 100 fly at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she earned a best time at Junior Nationals.

JORDAN MORGAN

She told Swimming World:

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Texas! I’m grateful to my family and coaches for supporting me through the years, and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to swim for such an amazing program. Hook ‘em”

Her best times include:

  • 50 breast – 28.91
  • 100 breast – 1:01.21
  • 200 breast – 2:14.68
  • 200 IM – 2:08.55
  • 400 IM – 4:30.37

Hailing from Gilroy, Calif., Morgan is a talented breaststroker who owns two Junior National standards while competing year-round with Irvine Novaquatics. She most recently finished seventh in the 100 breast at Carlsbad Sectionals after placing 19th in that event at Juniors West. This past summer, she finaled in both breaststroke events at NCSAs.
