Swimming World To Announce World, Regional Swimmers of the Year in December Issue
PHOENIX, Arizona, November 19. WITH the December issue of Swimming World Magazine just days away, here's a preview of what is to come in that celebratory issue.
In the World Swimming section, Swimming World announces its various World and Regional Swimmer of the Year awards based on the votes of an expert panel. Additionally, the December issue features awards for diving, synchronized swimming and water polo. Meanwhile, senior writer John Lohn provides us with the top 10 performances of 2007, while senior editor Bob Ingram compiles the world's best by event. We also recap the progressions of the world and American records.
In SWIM, Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen gives some tips on staying in control while competing, while Mark Moore profiles Katie McClelland as a Lane Leader. Finally, J.R. Rosania provides a holiday core set to train those abs.
In Swimming Technique, Mike Stott features Steve Kuster of Williams College and shines the spotlight on how Amanda Nicholson and Norman Scott train. Additionally, Stott looks at the season plans for Peter Vanderkaay and Erik Vendt. Meanwhile, technical advisor Glenn Mills details Ryan Lochte's backstroke breakout.
In Junior Swimmer, we announce our National Age Group record setters and TYR Age Group Swimmer of the Month. Additionally, Wayne Goldsmith provides a Goldminds article on Choosing to Be a Champion.
