Swimming Australia Might Aid Oceania Swimming Association Members
PAPUA NEW GUINEA, October 10. SWIMMING Australia may be called on to help train coaches in other countries within the Oceania Swimming Association (OSA), according to an article in The National.
As explained in the article, the Australian Swimming Accreditation program will be adapted for use throughout the region, while an Australian coach would "come to each country each year in order to ensure sustainable and continuous development for accreditation of coaches. Member countries of OSA would be visited first."
There is also talk of regional coaches and swimmers relocating to Australia to learn as interns.
While not exactly the same as this report, the American Swimming Coaches Association and the United Arab Emirates recently announced their own knowledge-share agreement.
