SwimAtlanta’s Marianne Allard Verbally Commits to Alabama
NEW COMMIT: USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Marianne Allard has verbally committed to swim at the University of Alabama beginning next fall. From Suwanee, Georgia, Allard is a senior at North Gwinnett High School, Allard trains with Swim Atlanta. She’s primarily an IMer and breaststroker. Her top times include:
- 200 IM 2:03.54
- 400 IM 4:27.30
- 50 Breast 31.07
- 100 Breast 1:05.08
- 200 Breast 2:21.46
At last February’s Georgia High School 6A/7A State Championships Allard finished fifth in the 200 IM (2:04.48).
She told Swimming World,
“Beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Alabama!! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have all been instrumental in getting me to this point. Cannot wait to be apart of such a wonderful team!! ROLL TIDE BABY!!”
Allard joins a Class of 2022 that includes Ashley Voelkerding, Rhyan White, Kensey McMahon, Cathryn Salladin, Morgan Liberto
