SPEEDO Champions Series Continues in Ohio
CANTON, Ohio. March 17. SEVERAL of the country's young stars hit the water on Friday at the SPEEDO Champions Sectional Series in Canton, Ohio.
On the women's side, Ava Ohlgren took two titles in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Her time of 1:47.46 qualifies her for National's and just missed the meet record. In the 100 Butterfly, Ohlgren's time of 54.79 dominated the field over 14 year-old, Taylor Garber with 57.23. Megan Alexander won the 100 breasstroke in 1:05. 08. Grace Fredlake from BAC flew to victory in the 400 I.M. with a swift 4:25.27.
On the Men's side, Aaron Koger took the 100 breaststroke with a 56.11. Meanwhile, Peter Jameson claimed victory in the 200 freestyle at 1:39.08.
Austin Staab from WAC cracked the 50 second barrier in the 100 fly with a 49.14. Michael Christy's time of 3:57.18 nearly broke the meet record of 3:56.97 en route to victory.
