Earlier this month, Olympic great Michael Phelps and the Discovery Channel confirmed that the GOAT would be racing a Great White Shark as one of the program’s features.
Today, the Discovery Channel and Shark Week released the promotional video highlighting Phelps’ newest racing competitor. The feature is titled “Phelps vs. Shark: The Battle for Ocean Supremacy” and is slated to air at 8 pm EST on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
The video, set to dramatic music, features a voice-over reviewing the two competitors’ dominance in the water.
“One…trained to be the best since the day he was born. The other, has been perfected by evolution…”

Shark Week is an annual week-long installment of programming exclusively from the Discovery Channel, and Phelps’ segment is scheduled to be aired on July 23rd at 8pm EST. You can read about additional programming during the week in the press release from the Discovery Channel here.
