INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. February, 8. THE Mid-Continent Conference has announced that IUPUI swimmer Allison Rober (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) has been chosen Athlete of the Week for women’s swimming and diving. This is the second time this season that Rober has been selected for the honor.
Rober had a strong performance in the team’s dual meet with in-state rival Ball State on February 1.
The 5-foot-5 sophomore won the 400 individual medley with a career and team season-best time of 4:41.92. That bettered the rest of the field by over three seconds. It was also the second-fastest time in school history in the event and the fastest by an IUPUI swimmer in over seven years. She also registered a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.89.
