Rikako Ikee Tops 100 Fly Semis at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Japan’s Rikako Ikee cracked the 59-second mark to lead the way in the women’s 100-meter fly semis at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.
Ikee put up a top qualifying time of 58.98 as the only swimmer under 59 seconds in the semis.

[table “” not found /]USA’s Cassidy Bayer qualified second in 59.00 with Australia’s Gemma Cooney taking third in 59.01.
Canada’s Penny Oleksiak (59.45), Australia’s Lucia Lassman (59.50), Russia’s Polina Egorova (59.71), Hungary’s Szonja Szokol (59.82) and China’s Wang Jingzhuo (59.87) also managed to make their way into the championship field.
