Photo Gallery: Distance Evening of the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series Columbus

The first night of the Columbus stop of the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series was host to the men’s and women’s 1500 freestyle races. The Columbus stop is the last on the schedule for USA Swimming before the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, California.

International Olympians Anton Ipsen and Kristel Kobrich reigned supreme, while 15-year-old Mariah Denigan delivered the fastest time for 15-16 year olds in the U.S.

Following the distance session, Ipsen and Kobrich took the time to discuss their swims with Swimming World’s Andy Ross.

Throughout the entirety of the session, Swimming World’s chief photographer Peter H. Bick was on deck capturing all of the action and excitement.
