Peter Busch and Garrett McCaffrey Recap Top Events of Day 7 at FINA World Swimming Championships on The Morning Swim Show News Segment, August 1, 2009
PHOENIX, Arizona, August 1. A special Saturday edition of the Morning Swim Show recaps Day 7 at the World Swimming Championships in Rome. Host Peter Busch and Garrett McCaffrey start of the show by breaking down the men's 100 Fly final, and the highly anticipated rematch between Michael Phelps and Michael Cavic. Phelps added to his legacy by becoming the first man to break the 50-second barrier, touching at 49.81 ahead of Cavic's 49.95.
Busch and McCaffrey also talk at length about the men's 50 Free final, in which Brazil's Cesar Cielo cemented his place as the world's undisputed sprint king. The show recaps every race from the Day 7 finals session, including the women's 50 Fly final, the women's 200 Back final, the women's 50 Breaststroke semifinals, the women's 50 Free semifinals, the men's 50 Back semifinals, the women's 800 Free final, and the women's 4×100 Medley Relay.
