CALGARY, Alberta, Canada, November 10. OVER the course of a two-day Slingshot Speed Meet held in Calgary, Annamay Pierse downed a pair of Canadian short course records in breaststroke events.
During the first night of competition, Pierse bettered her record of 1:07.12 in the 100 breast set at the 2008 CIS Championships when she clocked a time of 1:06.63 in Calgary.
Pierse went on to clip the sprint breast standard set by Erica Morningstar with a 31.45 at the 2008 Speedo Western Championships in Victoria when she posted a 31.00 during the second evening of swimming.
