PHOENIX, June 29. RETURNING home to Arizona, the scene of many of his triumphs as an age-grouper and high school swimmer, Kellan O'Connor turned in the outstanding performance on the final day of the BEST Invitational in Phoenix.
O'Connor blasted through the 200 meter fly in 2:01.82, clinching his second win of the four-day meet. Yesterday he swam a 55 to take the 100 fly.
Emerson Ward, sun Devils Aquatics, took the men's 100 breast in a solid 1:06.45, while Sean Sussex won the 100 free in 52.73 and Leonardo Martins took the 400 IM in 4:45.97.
The women's winners included kara Morelli, 200 fly (2:21.26); Brianna Patterson, 100 breast (1:17.72); Tania Serrano, 100 free (58.50); and Melissa Wong, 400 IM (5:03.84).
